We plan the timing, locations, and overall flow of the session, taking into account Lisbon’s light, crowds, and pace, so everything feels calm and unforced

We confirm the date and time and reserve the session with the booking service, so everything is clearly planned ahead

Shoot
We meet at the agreed location. I guide you through the session with simple directions, so you can relax, focus on each other, and let moments happen naturally

Editing & receiving
I carefully edit each photo, keeping a natural look and highlighting your true beauty. The final images are uploaded to an online gallery for easy viewing and download.

I am Dimas Frolov, a photographer based in Lisbon. Over 19 years and more than 2000 shoots I have learned that most people arrive nervous and leave surprised at how easy it was.
You are not booking an agency or a marketplace – I photograph every session myself, and I am the person you talk to from the first message to the finished gallery.
Most common questions about photo shoots
I'm based in Lisbon, Portugal, but I travel for shoots – around Lisbon (Sintra, Cascais, Setúbal) and to other cities across Portugal and even abroad in Europe.
It's a mix – mostly light, documentary-style moments blended with guided, staged shots. I give direction when needed, suggest places and actions, then let people live the moment. That's how you get photos that feel real, relaxed, and not forced.
In Lisbon center – sunrise, almost no tourists. Beaches or parks are more flexible; you can shoot almost any time there.

I offer several packages. One hour usually covers most sessions. For more outfits or wider locations, 1.5 hours is better. Two hours is the most relaxed option with lots of advantages.

Light or pastel colors, smart casual. Comfortable shoes are a must. Bring hats, scarves, and sunglasses – small things that change the mood.
One outfit is enough because I focus on you and your connection. If you want variety, keep it to 2–3 max.
That's my job – I guide you with simple actions and light direction so you feel comfortable. The result looks alive and natural.
Yes, if you allow me to publish your photos in my portfolio and on my social media. The discount amount and final price can be found on my pricing page.
I don't hard-cap the number. I deliver almost every good shot and remove only blinks, blurs, and misses. Minimum guarantee: 25 photos in the smallest package; larger packages include a lot more.
Usually within a couple of weeks. Absolute deadline: 3 weeks.
After editing, you will receive an online gallery where you can view your photos on any device, download them in high resolution, and easily share them with friends and family.
Bring a good mood and be on time – I handle the rest. If you have specific poses or angles, save examples on your phone and we'll recreate them.
Nikon Z6 III with a Nikon Z6 II as backup/second body. Both write to two cards simultaneously. Files go to a backed-up drive and then to the cloud during editing. Mostly natural light; flash if needed. Lenses: 35, 50, 85mm primes; 15–30, 70–200 zooms; 90mm macro.
We can try to move the date. If we do, the booking service is applied to the new date. If the shoot is called off, the booking service is not returned: it paid for holding your date, and that was done the moment I reserved it.
A photoshoot in Lisbon what to expect
Most people who write to me have never had a professional photoshoot before. That is the normal case, not the exception, and the session is built around it.
You do not need to know how to pose
I direct the whole session – where to stand, where to look, what to do with your hands, when to move. The instructions are simple and continuous, so there is never a moment of standing still wondering what to do.
Why every photo is retouched
Most photographers deliver a selected handful of edited images and leave the rest untouched. Here the whole gallery is finished: colour, light and skin are worked on every frame that makes it through. Only duplicates and technically unusable shots are removed.
Choosing where to shoot
Lisbon gives you tiled old streets, river light in Belém, industrial colour at LX Factory, and half an hour away the palaces of Sintra and the Atlantic cliffs at Cabo da Roca. We pick the route together before the day, based on the light, the season and how much walking you want.
