Professional photo
restoration services
Old or damaged photographs, restored by hand. Send a scan or a phone photo and get the finished file.
Family photographs get torn, crack along the folds, fade and stain. I restore them by hand in Photoshop, the way a retoucher works on a portrait: layer by layer, with the original always open next to the result.

What are the benefits? By hand or AI
One-click AI tools are fast, and on old photographs they often make things worse. Here is the difference.
What AI tools do
- Redraw faces from a template, so a relative looks like a stranger
- Smooth skin and hair into a waxy surface
- Invent details that were never in the photograph
- Treat every photo the same, whatever the damage
What I do by hand
- Keep the face from the original and repair only the damage
- Keep the grain and texture of the old print
- Rebuild missing parts from the surrounding picture, not from imagination
- Agree with you on what to fix in every photo before I start
Capabilities Which details can be restored
Tears and cracks
Torn and cut photographs, joined back together.
Folds and creases
White lines along the folds, removed without blurring the picture.
Fading
Faded and yellowed prints, brought back to proper contrast and color.
Stains and spots
Water marks, mold, ink, fingerprints and glue.
Missing pieces
Torn-off corners and holes, rebuilt from the surrounding picture.
Colorization
Black and white photographs in color, if you want it.

Attach a scan, or a photo taken with your phone in daylight, straight on, without flash. The form takes up to 5 files of 30 MB each. If the scan is bigger, paste a link to Google Drive, Dropbox or WeTransfer.
Tears, folds, stains, fading, scratches and missing pieces. If you are not sure, send the photo and I will tell you.
The work is manual. I do not run the photograph through a one-click AI filter, because it changes faces.
From 25€. The price is the hours of work times 25€, usually 1 to 4 hours per photo. I name it after I see the original, and the quote is free.

Professional photo restoration of old family photographs
Old family photographs are often the only record of a person, a home or a day that still belongs to the family story. A torn edge, yellow paper or a deep crease can distract from it, yet the damage is part of a real, physical print. My photo restoration services are for people who want to keep the photograph recognizable while making it possible to look at, print and share again.
What can be restored
I work with tears, creases, scratches, stains, faded contrast, yellowing, mold marks, ink and missing corners. Some repairs are straightforward. Others need careful work at high magnification, especially around eyes, hands, jewelry, lettering and patterned clothing. A missing area can be rebuilt only from information that survives elsewhere in the picture. If a detail is gone completely, I say so before work begins instead of inventing it.
Keeping the original person in the picture
Professional photo restoration is a different task from generating a new image that resembles an old one. Automatic tools can smooth skin, change a face or add details that were never there. I work from the scan itself and repair the damaged areas by hand. The aim is to preserve the person, texture and character of the original print. You can also ask to leave a particular mark, writing or sign of age untouched.
How the online service works
This is an online photo restoration service, so there is no need to post the original photograph. Send the best scan or a clear phone photo through the form. A phone photo is enough for an initial assessment. I look at the damage, explain what is realistic, and give you the price and expected time before you decide. For detailed work, a full-size scan can follow by a file link after we agree on the restoration.
How to photograph or scan an old print
For a phone photo, place the print flat in even daylight, keep the camera parallel to it and avoid glare from a flash or lamp. Include the whole photograph and do not use filters. A scanner is better when one is available: save the file at the highest practical resolution and do not sharpen or clean it first. Send the clearest source you have, even when it looks badly damaged. The source determines what can be recovered.
Price, color and delivery
Each old photo restoration is priced by the time it needs. The minimum is 25€ and most photographs take 1–4 hours; the exact quote follows the assessment of your file. Colorization can be requested for a black-and-white photograph, but it is a separate creative decision and should not be confused with restoration. When the work is finished, you receive a full-resolution digital file ready for printing, keeping in the family archive or sending to relatives.
Start with the photograph you have
A professional photo restoration service starts with an honest look at the source, not a promise to fix every loss. Send the photograph and say what matters most to you: a face, a date, a uniform, a background or simply a cleaner version of the whole print. I will tell you what the result can realistically be before any work starts.
