A Sunset Couple Photoshoot at Costa da Caparica May 25th, 2026

People often think of Sintra first when they look for beaches near Lisbon. Sintra has dramatic cliffs, wild landscapes, and powerful waves. Costa da Caparica has a different mood. The coastline is long and wide, with beach after beach stretching along the shore. Even on a busy day, it is usually possible to walk a little further and find a quieter space with very few people around.

That makes it a great choice for a couple photoshoot.

The beach is popular with surfers and there is often a breeze coming from the ocean, but it usually feels less exposed than the beaches further north around Sintra. Lisbon provides some protection from the stronger northern winds, so the atmosphere here can be softer, especially closer to sunset. The wind becomes part of the photos too, moving Shirien’s hair and clothes naturally, adding a little movement to every frame.

Daniel and Shirien did not need much direction. They were close, relaxed, and fully present with each other. There were hugs, kisses, quiet conversations, and those small moments when you forget there is a camera nearby. My job was simply to guide them when needed and give them space when the moment was already there.

At low tide, Costa da Caparica becomes even more interesting for photos. The wet sand reflects the sky, the sun, and the silhouettes of two people walking together. It creates a soft mirror effect that you cannot get in the city. We used the open shoreline, the reflections, and the last warm light of the day to make the photos feel romantic but still natural.

By the time the sun went down, the beach was quieter, the colours became softer, and Daniel and Shirien had exactly what they came for: a simple, intimate evening by the Atlantic, captured in a place that feels close to Lisbon but far away from its everyday rhythm.

You do not need any modelling experience to get beautiful photos. Most of the people in my photoshoots are ordinary couples who have never been in front of a professional camera before.
