I would like to notice that these lists DO NOT include Website Builders. Here is the list where you can find friends and like-minded people. Mostly that means on each of these platforms, your photos will go to some kind of news feed, and people can see your photos even you are not friends…
Should a photographer has its own website, or it’s enough to have social media profiles?
As a professional photographer, I think each pro photographer must have their own website. A website for the professional is like a home. Your stable gallery with your vision. Here are some reasons why:
- You don’t need to add new photos there each day, that algorithms show you in the news feed.
- Your website – your rules. Yeah, you will not see the new followers or likes there. But that place where located your best of the best content. How great a photographer you are? Even you are a very good one, then not all your photos are amazing, right? But in your portfolio, you will keep the best ones.
- When your clients found you in social networks, they will see your “middle level.” What you are doing each day. Own website is your “high level” of quality.
Anyway, let’s look at websites where you can show your photos to everyone easily.
First of all, you can share your photographs on famous social networks. There are your stories, your updates, your news. Here you can share information about your new projects, show last photographs, or realize streams. Share your creativity and spread information about yourself to the world!
